Warrington Ramblers new On-Line Coach Booking and new Telephone Booking Arrangements
Warrington group introduced a new on-line facility for booking a place on Sunday coach walks with effect from Monday, 13th November. This is available to all regular Sunday coach users, but it will not be available for first time walkers as we want to be able to brief them fully on what is involved. Full information on this has been distributed by email and on the coaches. Up to three walks can be booked at any one time and a link to the booking form is on the web-site on the Warrington Coach Page.
The new telephone booking arrangements will come into effect on Monday, 11th December . The phone booking line is 07756 865385. It will only be acknowledged / answered from 4pm to 7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays . Please note that calls and texts will be accepted, but not voicemails.

About Our Group
The Warrington Group is part of the wider North and Mid Cheshire Area, and we are therefore able to share an extensive programme of local walks with other groups in the area. These take place both during the week and at the weekend, and range from half day to full day walks for varying degrees of ability. Details of the full programme of walks can be found on the North and Mid Cheshire Website.
In addition, we offer fortnightly full day coach walks every other Sunday, which enable us to go further afield. A coach picks up at various points in Warrington. This means we can visit a wide range of places within good reach of Warrington, and enjoy a much broader menu of walks and destinations for varying levels of ability in some of the most beautiful places in the North West (including Wales).
Sunday Coach Walks
We run a Sunday coach every two weeks, picking up at various points in Warrington between Stockton Heath and Culcheth. We travel to many different places that offer beautiful scenery, excellent varied walking and great places of interest.
On each trip we offer 4 grades of walk, each led by an experienced leader. These range from easier, more leisurely walks of around 6 to 8 miles to more challenging walks up to 16 miles. There is always time at the end of the walks to find refreshments.
The walks are an excellent opportunity to get out and about at a very reasonable cost (£12) without having to drive there and back. They are ideal for both singles and couples of all ages, and are a great way to meet new friends and socialise while doing something you enjoy.
All you need to get started are walking boots, appropriate walking and wet weather gear, and a rucksack to carry a packed lunch and anything else you want to bring. (If you need advice we can help).
Our group is friendly and welcoming, and we would love to welcome new members. Our full coach programme is shown below. If you would like to try a Sunday trip, our Booking Secretary is Irene Brewin and she can be contacted on 07756 865385.
Coach Pickup Points are Stockton Heath, Wilderspool, Kingsway, Woolston, Padgate and Culcheth. Non-members are welcome to come along and try it out!

Our next coach is to Loggerheads on 7 January

Out first destination this year is to Loggerheads Country Park, in Denbeighshire. This is a very special place, rich in wildlife and heritage and an ideal destination for exploring the Clwydian hills. A network of walks will radiate from the park, visiting Moel Fammau, a high viewpoint on Offa's Dyke National Trail, and the valley of the River Alyn with its woodlands and high limestone cliffs. Refreshments will be available at the Florence Cafe or the pub on the main road. We look forward to seeing you on 7th January 2018
