Sunday Coach - Change to Published Programme on September 2nd

The original Sunday coach programme, as published in the booklet, had Ludlow as the destination for Sunday, September 2nd.

For a variety of reasons, and following consultation on the last coach, the destination on that day will now be Bakewell .

This has been changed already on the Warrington Coach Website.

About Our Group
The Warrington Group is part of the wider North and Mid Cheshire Area, and we are therefore able to share an extensive programme of local walks with other groups in the area. These take place both during the week and at the weekend, and range from half day to full day walks for varying degrees of ability. Details of the full programme of walks can be found on the North and Mid Cheshire Website.
In addition, we offer fortnightly full day coach walks every other Sunday, which enable us to go further afield. A coach picks up at various points in Warrington. This means we can visit a wide range of places within good reach of Warrington, and enjoy a much broader menu of walks and destinations for varying levels of ability in some of the most beautiful places in the North West (including Wales).
Sunday Coach Walks
We run a Sunday coach every two weeks, picking up at various points in Warrington between Stockton Heath and Culcheth. We travel to many different places that offer beautiful scenery, excellent varied walking and great places of interest.
On each trip we offer 4 grades of walk, each led by an experienced leader. These range from easier, more leisurely walks of around 6 to 8 miles to more challenging walks up to 16 miles. There is always time at the end of the walks to find refreshments.
The walks are an excellent opportunity to get out and about at a very reasonable cost without having to drive there and back. They are ideal for both singles and couples of all ages, and are a great way to meet new friends and socialise while doing something you enjoy.
All you need to get started are walking boots, appropriate walking and wet weather gear, and a rucksack to carry a packed lunch and anything else you want to bring. (If you need advice we can help).
Our group is friendly and welcoming, and we would love to welcome new members. Our full coach programme is shown below. If you would like to try a Sunday trip for the first time, you will need to ring to book in advance. Our coach booking number is 07756 865385. The booking line is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 4pm and 7pm.
Coach Pickup Points are Stockton Heath, Wilderspool, Kingsway, Woolston, Padgate and Culcheth. Non-members are welcome to come along and try it out!

Our next coach is to Dales Highway - Sedbergh to Ravenstonedale on 19 August

Starting in Sedbergh, on the Cumbrian border, the route for the stronger walks rises up onto the dramatic Howgill Fells, a range of smooth rounded hills. From the Calf, the highest point, the Lake District and Scotland can be seen. The adjoining valleys provide easier routes to our destination, following streams and woodland. The village has two hotels, an art gallery and a quirky golf course, having 18 holes but only 9 greens! We look forward to seeing you on 19th August.
